[Encino, CA, April 29, 2024] – Los Encinos School is honored to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious grant aimed at promoting diversity in enrollment and enhance our commitment to an already robust Tuition Assistance Program in order to provide a sterling LES education to students and families who would find it unattainable otherwise.
This grant, generously provided by The Children’s Education Initiative (TCEI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Diego and dedicated to improving the quality of education for socioeconomically disadvantaged children across the United States, underscores our commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all. The multi-year grant, totaling $1.115 Million, will enable Los Encinos School to implement a range of initiatives designed to enhance diversity within our student body and support families in need of financial assistance. These initiatives include scholarships, grants, and other forms of tuition assistance that will directly benefit students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to thrive academically, socially and emotionally
"We are deeply grateful to TCEI for their generous support of our mission to create a welcoming and inclusive community where every student can reach their full potential and experience a true sense of belonging," said Ilene Reinfeld, Head of School. "This grant will not only help us in our mission to attract a more diverse student body, but it will also ensure that financial barriers do not hinder any student from accessing the exceptional education we offer here at LES.
Diversity is a core value at Los Encinos School, and we believe that a diverse student body enriches the educational experience for everyone. Through this grant, we will continue to prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and belonging (DEIJB) in all aspects of school life, fostering a culture of respect, understanding and celebration of differences.
As we embark on this exciting new chapter, Los Encinos School remains committed to empowering students to become compassionate leaders, critical thinkers and global citizens who are prepared to make a positive impact in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
